Hello!

So now it is the winter, and after a very busy summer gardening at last I have some time to turn to the studio.

Unfortunately sales at the last show were slower that I had hoped and I have decided that in 2010 I don’t want to do any major shows.

Also I yearn to make things for myself (bags) and for the house (Curtains and rugs)

However to prod my creativity into, well being creative I signed up for D.J.Pettitt’s online image editing workshop.

What better way to spend the icy weather we are experiencing in the UK at the moment than messing about with images.

I thought that as I work my way through the exercises I would practice them by creating a “digital journal” as opposed to a mixed media one.  However, as I am working very slowly - it will not be a daily occurrence.

We have had ice on the beaches here in Wales and the image below is from my photographs of flowers in the summer, and the ice I photographed yesterday.

  • The flowers and ice look lovely - I must try to find time to start this workshop - having paid for it!

Thanks Helen - I am sure that once you have got over the whole studio roof thing your energies will more easily be concentrated on the course.

O Karen, what a beautiful image of the icy flowers-very inspiring and very poetic.

  • I love it Karen and it’s a great idea to make a journal. I’m trying to find time to get on with the course too. you are inspiring me.

    No1 Son -

I cannot get the re-tweet buttons to work here, I must investigate further :(

    Linda,

Lovely to see you - glad you liked the image - I am sure I can improve on it when I am more confident with what I should be doing - but I am really happy with the concept.

Mags - thank you for supportive comment, and I am looking forward to seeing how you get on with the course.

Sorry, I seem to be a bit behind. A wonderful image. The kind of thing I would pay good money for (not that I have any bad), if I saw it in a gallery.
